I wish I can understand all languages in the world

Sometimes I wish I could understand all the languages in the world, just to experience novels in their original form. The idea of reading a story exactly as the author intended, without the filter of translation, feels like being able to truly step into another world. There’s something raw and genuine about language—every word chosen, every phrase crafted in a way that only makes sense in that language’s unique rhythm.

Some books that I truly know that I wish to understand in their original languages are Les Misérables by Victor Hugo (French), Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky (Russian), Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder (Norwegian), and Days in the Morisaki Bookshop by Yagisawa Satoshi (Japanese).
