BOOK which inspired The Crown Princess and the Footman trilogy (part 2)

There was a novel that has stayed with me ever since I first picked it up. My aunt gave it to me when I was a kid, and it became a cherished part of my reading journey. The book is called "The Goose Girl" by Shannon Hale.

The story captivated me from the very beginning. It follows the journey of Princess Ani, who is betrayed and must find her way back to reclaim her rightful place. It feels like I was living Ani's adventure alongside her. The political nuances, the betrayals, and the intricate relationships within the story had me deeply invested in Ani’s welfare. It was a story filled with magic, danger, and the strength of character.

Reading the story was a transformative experience for me. It wasn't just the plot that intrigued me but the emotions and growth of the characters that left a lasting impression. The narrative, combining fairy tale elements with deep, human emotions, made me appreciate the art of storytelling on a whole new level. It showed me the power of resilience and the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the face of overwhelming odds.

I've read it about three times. It remains one of those books that I can always return to.

I later found out it's a series called Bayern. I wish to be able to read the others. If I had the chance to read them, no doubt, I'd love it. Also, it is inspired by The Brothers Grimm tale on The Goose Girl.
