BOOK which inspired The Crown Princess and the Footman trilogy (part 1)
There was an English book which was stuck to me ever since the first time I picked up this book. My aunt gave it to me when I was little. It was called "A Little Princess" by Frances Hodgson Burnett. But I was reading it in a shorter version by Classic Starts. I remembered how immersed I was in the story. It felt like I was embodying the main character. It was quite scary, but not in a way that it spooked. It was a scare of the unknown, feeling vulnerable as an orphaned child, left away penniless after her father had passed away.
It was the first time I realised I love books as an art. How it was able to lure emotions of various kinds in a form of writing. I was a child reading a story about a child. The thought process resonated very well. The happy ending gave off a warm feeling after reading it.
I never got bored of the novel. If I was ordered to read it again and again, I gladly will do it.
